Jamaica is renowned for producing some of the World’s most prestigious coffees; coffee thrives in the hilltops of the Blue Mountains. The volcanic soil is fertile, the climate provides plenty of rainfall and the altitude protects the crops from the heat of the sun due to the misty cloud cover present.

At Sherwood Forest Estates, the Bramwell family oversees meticulous cultivation and processing, ensuring a high-quality cup.

The higher altitudes of 1,160 to 1,740 meters above sea level provide the ideal environment for growing sweet, dense beans. The warm days and cool nights help concentrate sugars and produce a delicious cup.

Cherry is selectively handpicked along the steep slopes where it grows. Once picked, the cherry is brought to the Sherwood Forests’ wet mill where it is pulped and fermented for 24 hours. Following fermentation, the cherry is washed and laid on patios to sundry.

Once dry, parchment is selectively hand-sorted to ensure that each lot is consistently high quality.
